Multi-Ethnic Engineers Program Scholarship
What You Need To Know
Students interested in participating in the Multi-Ethnic Engineers Program (MEP) have the opportunity to apply for a MEP scholarship. MEP scholarships are valued at $1,000 - $2,500 per year for up to four years (or eight semesters). While the scholarship is merit-based, the amount awarded will be based on financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

MEP Scholarship Eligibility
All graduating high school students applying to UD School of Engineering or UD Sinclair Academy who meet these eligibility requirements are welcome to apply for this scholarship:
- Student must apply (and be later accepted) to an undergraduate engineering program.
- Student must be a US citizen, permanent resident, or DACA recipient.
- Student agrees to participate in the MEP Program and remain in good standing in accordance with the MEP engagement requirements (requires approx. 4 hours per month time commitment).
- Student understands that remaining in good academic standing in accordance with the University guidelines is required for scholarship renewal each year.
How To Apply
- Apply for admission to the University of Dayton. Please note, only students accepted into an engineering major are eligible for a MEP scholarship.
- After completing your application for admission, please complete the MEP scholarship form. On the form, you'll have the option to request to be considered for our NACME Scholars Program as well.
- The application deadline to be considered for a MEP scholarship has now passed for 2025. You’ll receive your scholarship award decision in spring 2025, and any award will be included in your transparent financial aid offer.
