This E-Week Design Challenge is brought to you by the non-profit organization Kids Read Now and the Kern Entrepreneurial Engineering Network, KEEN for short.

Tau Beta Pi FlierE-Week Design Challenge Details
- The E-Week Design Challenge is open to all engineering students.
- Teams must consist of 2 or more students.
Your mission is to design an assistive or automated device to redesign the current rubber banding process (see the video).
The Challenge will be in 2 phases:
- Jan. 14-Feb. 5 — Phase 1: Begins when your team submits an email with your team name and team members' contact information to EngineersWeek@udayton.edu. Teams will present a “proof of concept” to judges on Saturday, February 5.
- Feb. 5-26 — Phase 2: Judges will select the top 5 designs to advance, and the teams will fabricate a functioning prototype to demonstrate to the judges.
Prize Money
- $2000 for 1st place
- $500 for 2nd place
- $250 for 3rd place
- $150 for 4th place
- $100 for 5th place
