Summer Innovation Course for International Students

Would you like to earn three University of Dayton credits in two weeks?

July 28 - August 10, 2019 

The School of Engineering Summer Innovation Course for International Students is a two-week program where international students can experience American culture, learn engineering skills, earn three University of Dayton credits and waive their English proficiency requirement. 

English Proficiency Waiver

Students who complete the program with an average grade of B (GPA 3.0) or better will have the opportunity to have their English proficiency requirement waived when transferring to an undergraduate program or applying to select graduate programs at the University of Dayton.

Develop Engineering Skills

Enroll in our Summer Innovation Course to develop skills in analysis, creativity, conceptual design, design and problem-solving processes, prototyping, project communications, and teamwork!

  • Earn three University of Dayton Credits
  • Immerse yourself into the American classroom
  • Use creativity and problem-solving skills 
  • Meet experienced engineers and other international students
  • Work in state-of-art facilities and laboratories.
  • Participate in tours around the Dayton area to experience American culture.

Application Information
To apply for the School of Engineering Summer Innovation Course for International Students, you must be an international university student majoring in engineering with good academic standing (minimum 2.5 GPA) and not currently enrolled at the University of Dayton. The program will take place for a period of two-weeks, from July 28 - August 10, 2019. Students should arrive in Dayton on Saturday, July 27.
