Project Lead The Way

Transferable Credits by High School Course

You can receive two credits at the University of Dayton for the School of Engineering's EGR 103, Engineering Innovation course, by completing four high school Project Lead the Way (PLTW) courses.



Eligibility

Secondary school students from PLTW-certified schools may receive credit for EGR 103, Engineering Innovation, based on satisfying the following requirements:

  1. meet requirements for admission to the University of Dayton and the School of Engineering for engineering and engineering technology majors;
  2. complete four PLTW courses with each course completed with a minimum grade of "C-" or score of 400 on each PLTW End-of-Course Assessment;
  3. show four courses with grades on high school transcript or submitted college transcript. Any courses taken as college credit may also receive transfer credit less the 2 credits already given for EGR 103.

  1. Introduction to Engineering Design
  2. Principles of Engineering
  3. Engineering Design and Development
  4. One additional PLTW Course
