Enjoy the Arts at UD
Catch a play by the University of Dayton theatre department. Attend a visiting artist lecture. Take part in a visual arts workshop. Perform before 2,000 people on the Schuster Center stage in downtown Dayton as part of the annual Celebration of the Arts. Explore the arts of various cultures by attending Culture Fest or participating in heritage month events.
The chances to delve into the arts here are as varied as the arts themselves.
If you want a truly immersive experience, ArtStreet is an innovative learning and living arts complex located in the midst of the student neighborhood. With housing for juniors and seniors of all majors, ArtStreet combines distinctive living spaces with multi-purpose studios open to the entire University of Dayton community. You'll discover a recording studio, Flyer Radio and even a café to refuel your creative process.
Opening in 2024, the Roger Glass Center for the Arts is the first building at UD dedicated to visual and performing arts. Located at the southeast corner of Main and Stewart streets, the center will elevate the arts on campus and provide greater connection with the Dayton community through art.
Take a class at The Hub Powered by PNC Bank, which is housed at the Dayton Arcade — a historic landmark built in 1906 and located in the heart of Downtown Dayton. The Flyer bus, operated by the Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority, provides free transportation from campus to downtown Dayton. Visit the Index Gallery while you're there!
