Minor in Theology
Theology is a search for a deeper understanding of one's faith and experience of God. With receptive openness to the sources of Christian tradition (Bible, historical developments, church teaching, liturgical practice, artistic/cultural expressions, systematic theological reflection), theological study includes appreciative analysis of, critical reflection on, constructive development of, and prayerful engagement with the meaning and truth those sources embody. It is a fascinating journey of discovery leading one more richly to know the faith one has embraced, and out of that faith to serve others and promote the common good.
This minor is 15 semester hours. Five elective courses are chosen from a list of courses in theology, in conversation with your adviser. At least one course must be at the 400-level.
