High-Quality Education
Our students are able to interact appropriately and effectively with native speakers of Spanish in real-life situations whether in the U.S. or abroad, after learning at proficiency levels defined by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages and the Common European Framework of Reference.
Students can chose from a variety of Spanish classes: conversation, composition, culture (Latin America and Spain), literature, film and professional Spanish (business, health care, sustainability). Students also can obtain a teaching licensure in Spanish in conjunction with the School of Education and Health Sciences.
Students engage with one another in an active learning environment while being mentored closely by Spanish faculty.
