Wayfinders

Where are you going?

In the Gospel of John, Peter asked Jesus “Where are you going?” He wanted to follow, and he needed to know more. Peter was imperfect. He didn’t have it all figured out. But eventually, he understood more and, with his fellow disciples, went off to transform the world.

Wayfinders launches from that same question.

A Journey Together

Led by UD theology professors, along with UD students and special guests, explore, alongside other teens, what it means to be “on the way” in the Catholic Intellectual Tradition. Drawing upon wide and varied resources in the Catholic tradition, including UD’s particular Marianist tradition, discuss, explore, read, discover, reflect, and learn about where we are going in our lives, in context of our wider world and in relationship with God.

Open to those entering in 10th, 11th or 12th grades, Wayfinders participants stay on UD’s beautiful campus for five nights. These days are set apart to think carefully, contemplate deeply and converse generously — all essential and important skills for living fruitful lives amid the many challenges we face in the 21st century. Leaders and participants alike work to cultivate a reflective atmosphere, including several trips to surrounding areas.
