The context in which we lead our professional and personal lives is steadily becoming more multicultural and global in scope, demanding new levels of international knowledge - knowledge beyond just geography, a few phrases of a foreign language, and a guide book.

University of Dayton anthropologist awarded Asian studies fellowship

The International Institute for Asian Studies awarded University of Dayton anthropologist Simanti Dasgupta a fellowship for the 2020-21 academic year at Leiden University in the Netherlands. Dasgupta, associate professor of anthropology, plans to complete a book manuscript about the sex workers’ labor movement in Kolkata, India.

UD students contribute to high-level U.N. report

A high-level United Nations-supported Global Alliance report presented in July to U.N. member states included research conducted during the 2019 spring semester by six University of Dayton international studies majors as part of their senior capstone course.
