University of Dayton Libraries Application for One-Year Lease of Private Research and Writing Space

Faculty, staff, graduate students and faculty emeriti who require extensive use of library resources may be eligible to lease private research and writing rooms for a semester or an academic year (up to two years for graduate students). Please indicate your status below. If you are a graduate student, you will be required to submit a letter from your advisor, confirming that you have completed your coursework and are writing your thesis or dissertation. After you submit this form, letters should be emailed to dosman1@udayton.edu with the subject line "Graduate Student Application letter for research and writing room." Your email should also include your name and contact information.

Please describe your current research agenda below; also please describe your need for extensive onsite use of library resources. Emeritus(a) faculty will typically be assigned space in the 1700 South Patterson Building. The fee for staff for one year is $100; the fee for active faculty is $50 for one semester or $100 for a full academic year. There is no fee for emeriti faculty; however approval of space is subject to availability.
