For Visitors
Roesch Library welcomes visitors and visiting scholars with educational and research needs. UD students, staff, and faculty have priority for all services and computers. As a depository of government publications, we will make accommodation for users needing access to online US government publications.
Visitors may use library materials in the building. This does not include media equipment. Members from OhioLINK institutions must present a valid identification card from their institution in order to borrow materials. Members of the community who wish to borrow library materials for use outside of the building may purchase a visitor library card for $50 at the first-floor Information Point.
Visitors not currently affiliated with the University of Dayton are limited to the two visitor computers on the first floor. Visitors engaged in library research have priority on these computers.
In addition to Internet access, the computers have access to most of the library's research databases, government websites and other resources available from the library website. Access to databases and e-resources from outside the library is not available to visitors due to licensing agreements.
Visitor printing and copying is not available in Roesch Library. We suggest using campus Print and Copy Services instead.
