Study Rooms

Roesch Library offers individual study rooms and group teams rooms available for online reservations. You must have a valid UD email address to reserve rooms. Reservations are limited to University of Dayton students, staff and faculty. Other individuals may request use of the room by visiting the Access Services desk or calling 937-229-4237.

Noisy Group Study

First and Second Floors

The sound level is noisy.

You'll find collaborative study spaces, including small study rooms. Moveable whiteboards are located throughout both floors. 

You can print from every computer in the library on the first and second floors. You can also print using your own laptop.

Study Rooms

Roesch Library offers individual study rooms and group teams rooms available for online  reservations. You must have a valid UD email address to reserve rooms. Reservations are limited to University of Dayton students, staff and faculty.  Other individuals may request use of the room by visiting the Access Services desk or calling 937-229-4237.

There is a daily maximum of 5 hours per day per individual. Reservations may be made one week in advance.

  • Go to libcal.udayton.edu.
  • Click on “Book a Space” and select your preferred type of room (study room or team room), select a floor, then a room.  Information is provided for each room.
  • Click on the time slots you would like to book in half hour increments. Click on "Submit Times.”
  • Review booking details and guidelines of room use. Click “Continue”
  • Enter your first and last name and UD email address.
  • Click on "Submit my Booking". You will receive an email confirmation.
  • Reservations must be confirmed within 15 minutes of receiving your email.
THE RULES CHANGE DURING 24-HOUR ACCESS PERIOD
  • During 24 hours access, all study rooms have a time limit of 3 hours.
  • Law students are not eligible to reserve study rooms during 24-hour access periods.
Guidelines for Use
  • A valid UD email address is required to make a reservation.
  • Usage of study rooms begins at time of reservation.
  • Users have 15 minutes to confirm their room. After 15 minutes, the reservation will be cancelled and the room will become available.
  • Do not add or remove anything from any rooms.
  • Honors team rooms are restricted to Honors students only.
  • Users may not reserve rooms by placing personal belongings or library materials in them; such items will be removed and taken to Public Safety.
  • Place all trash in designated trash receptacles
  • Users are responsible for personal property. Don't leave items unattended. The Library is not liable for loss/damage to personal property.
  • Report any damage or equipment failures to the Access Services Desk.  If damage is discovered after your use, you may be held responsible.

Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in the loss of study room privileges and Public Safety being notified.
