Catholic Marianist Identity Committee

CMIC Membership:

  • Director, Center for the Integration of Faith and Work.
  • Four members are selected by their departments, one each from ACC, ECO/FIN, MGT/MKT, and MOD. All full-time faculty, including lecturers, are eligible. Elected members serve a maximum of two consecutive staggered two-year terms.
  • One to three staff representatives are nominated by their supervisor and appointed by the Dean.
  • Ex-officio members: Dean, Associate Dean, Director of Program for Christian Leadership, and SBA Campus Ministry advisor
Strong candidates for election to the CMIC have the following characteristics:
  • An interest in strengthening the Catholic and Marianist mission of the SBA
  • Willingness to participate in and foster curricular and co-curricular programming to promote the Catholic and Marianist mission of the SBA, including integration with other parts of the University
The duties and responsibilities of the CMIC include but are not limited to the following:
  • Initiate, consider and/or review changes in curriculum and co-curricular activities related to the Catholic and Marianist mission of the SBA and make recommendations to the appropriate committee
  • Provide opportunities for faculty and staff development related to the Catholic and Marianist mission of the SBA
  • Assist in developing and implementing events such as the annual Business as a Calling speaker
  • Integrate Catholic Marianist activities in the SBA with other parts of the University
