Center for Project Excellence

Expanding Project Excellence

The Center for Project Excellence applies student power to help area businesses solve complex problems. Center activities focus on management information systems and operations analysis projects while supporting undergraduate and faculty research. It offers a technical library of resources, as well as space, technology and mentoring for computer and video recording for oral presentations and role-playing. Center staff also facilitate a speakers series, bringing in practitioners to assist in honing students' project and professional skills.

The Center is led by Stephen Hall, whose background includes more than 30 years of experience as an executive and chief information officer for several local and global companies.

A goal for the center is to expand its offerings to include other business departments, such as marketing and accounting, and eventually develop multidisciplinary teams from other areas of the University to assist companies and provide learning experiences for students.
