Center for Project Excellence
Combining Theory with Practice
The Center for Project Excellence (CPE) applies student power to help area businesses solve complex problems. Our consulting activities focus on management information systems and operations analysis projects while supporting undergraduate and project management research. It offers a variety of technical resources, as well as space, and mentoring for oral presentations and role-playing. Our academic staff also facilitates a speakers series, bringing in practitioners to assist in honing students' project and professional skills.
The CPE has supported and engaged business students from all majors (MIS, OPS, Acc, Mkt, Fin, Ent, etc.). Projects have also included Graduate Students from Computer Science and Engineering disciplines to assist companies and provide learning experiences for students.
Many CPE projects are best served by having a multidisciplinary student team. Projects range from several months to a full academic year.

Helping You Get the Experience You Want
Building Relationships
The UD Center for Project Excellence maintains and expands relationships with local, regional, and national corporate and community partners through coordinating and participating in student-engaged projects which add value to all stakeholders including students, faculty, corporate, and community partners. Students from all majors at UD are welcome and can grow from these project experiences. There are no student acceptance requirements other than being committed, professional, and willing to work hard to meet project and client objectives. Student matching to projects is based on availability, project requirements, and student interest.
