Remote Services

University Libraries are temporarily closed in response to the spread of COVID-19. This includes Roesch Library, the Marian Library, the U.S. Catholic Special Collection, and University Archives and Special Collections.

University Libraries’ faculty and staff will continue to support research and instruction remotely. Online access to UD-subscribed e-books, journals, databases and other materials remains available.

Faculty, staff and students can pick up holds at the first-floor lobby Hello desk between 8 a.m. and noon on Fridays during the library closure. To place a hold, click the "Request" button in the library catalog.

Print and Copy Services, located at the Powerhouse, is accepting orders by phone and online form.

All locations are closed; however, the University Libraries’ faculty and staff will continue to support research and instruction remotely. Online access to UD-subscribed e-books, journals, databases and other materials remains available.

All OhioLINK services have been suspended for all institutions. Most libraries around the country have closed their physical buildings, and almost all have ceased borrowing and lending of physical items through interlibrary loan (ILL). Some libraries are lending from their digital collections, so ILL requests for articles and single book chapters can still proceed with discretion, but processing times by lenders will be slower, and many requests will have to be resubmitted once normal services resume.

If you have any physical item(s) on hold, please email circdesk@udayton.edu for your options.
