Whether you’ve taught elsewhere for many years or are joining the professorial ranks for the first time, a key to being effective in helping students learn is understanding who our students are. In this session we will give you a sense of the Gen Z student in general, and more specifically, the population of students who call UD home. We will host a panel of UD students and give you the opportunity to ask them questions, and we will explore strategies for getting to know your students. Regardless of the setting for your course(s), whether required courses in large sections, upper level small seminars, graduate seminars, and more, you will get the chance to explore strategies for understanding and therefore connecting with our students. This session is the first in the ATLS Core Programming sequence.
