What is the Write Place
Our Mission
The Mission of the Write Place is one of service. Write Place consultants encourage, guide, and support student writers on any writing assignment and at any stage of the writing process.
What can students expect?
In order to help students improve their writing, consultants will:
- Address the content and organization of ideas.
- Help students understand their writing assignments.
- Engage the student in a conversation about the writing.
- Discover the strengths and discuss the weaknesses of the student’s writing.
- Provide proofreading strategies.

Our Team
Writing consultants appreciate the uniqueness of individual learners and work with all students in their efforts to become better writers.
With majors that spread across all disciplines, the Write Place consultants represent a diverse group of students, proving that you don't have to be an English major to be a strong writer.
Christina Klimo is the Write Place Coordinator at the University of Dayton! She organizes a team of 20-25 Write Place Consultants whose goal is to come alongside students and assist with their communication projects, both written and oral communication. Peer Writing Consultants offer drop-in hours, one-on-one appointments or the use of a Digital Drop-Off (DDO) service.
