In the Marianist spirit of educating the whole person, we believe that advising is collaborative, meaning-making and promotes reflection and agency for students on their vocational journey.

Foundations of Academic Advising

Helping students find their calling and what kind of person they strive to be is at the heart of academic advising at the University of Dayton.

We believe that through meaningful partnership and collaboration, advisors will assist students in identifying their unique gifts, talents and strengths.

We believe in supporting, nurturing and fostering an environment of openness to growth and development in all aspects of student's lives - academically, spiritually, emotionally and physically.
