Housing Lottery

All alumni, spouses, families and guests are invited to stay in on-campus housing. Unfortunately, not everyone will fit. Preference for the limited space is given to those celebrating a milestone reunion.

Reunion housing will be conducted through a lottery system. UD alumni enjoy staying on campus, and we are excited to welcome you back. Past attendees have told us our system was flawed and only the fastest registrants were able to get housing, so we've changed our process to a lottery.

Registration for on-campus housing and events starts mid- to late March. A message will be sent to all alumni we have an email address for. To ensure we have accurate contact information for you, please complete the online form, email us at or call us at 937-229-2912.

Registration for on-campus housing must be completed online. To qualify for on-campus housing, you must register for at least one paid event (like the Friday night class party or the Porch Party) and a two-night stay is required.

Steps to Enter the Housing Lottery.

  1. In mid- to late March, the housing lottery will open for 12 hours (from noon to midnight ET). Keep an eye out for messages for when you should visit the Reunion Weekend registration page or visit this page for updated information as March approaches.
  2. Sign up for at least one paid event for Reunion Weekend (like the Porch Party).
  3. Choose your preferred room occupancy (two-person, four-person or six-person rooms are available. See below for details.) — completing this step officially places you in the housing lottery.
  4. If your name is randomly drawn, you will be notified and charged for your room on the card used for registration.

Additional Information:

  • All roommates may register and opt in for the housing lottery to increase your group's chances of obtaining housing.
  • Due to limited space available for reunion weekend, not all registrants that select to be part of the housing lottery will receive housing.
  • Facilities will be assigned with every effort to group classes together. Room number will be available at check-in.
  • All placements are final. Rooms are not transferable.
