Volunteer Form

Service is in our DNA

DC/Baltimore SOME Service Event

Service isn't a buzzword at the University of Dayton. It's our way of life. Volunteering provides opportunities for personal and professional growth. As an alumni volunteer, you choose how much you want to be involved. We have volunteer options ranging from a single day opportunity to annual commitments.

Volunteer Interest Descriptions

  • Peer-to-Peer Ambassador
As a peer-to-peer ambassador, you will reach out to fellow Flyers of your choosing to engage in a conversation about the importance of giving back to the University. As a volunteer and a peer, you can connect with fellow Flyers in a unique way and personally inspire giving by sharing your own story.
  • Giving Day Social Media Ambassador
Help us reach the entire UD community during #1Day1Dayton. Use your social media accounts to build excitement, encourage giving and spread good news. We'll send you a toolkit with everything you need to get started.
  • Alumni Mentoring Program
Provide perspective and support for personal and professional development by connecting with current students and young alums. The program is driven by the mentee, who reaches out to their mentor to ask questions and seek resources at least one time per month.
  • Class Reunion
Reunion volunteers provide peer-to-peer outreach inviting classmates to attend Reunion Weekend, make a gift in honor of their reunion along with other event planning responsibilities.
  • day10 Executive Committee
Provides services and events that help young alums navigate life after graduation and stay in touch with the University and classmates who shaped their life. This group is limited to alumni representatives who graduated within the last 10 years.
  • Flyer Connection
Increase the recognition and reputation of the University of Dayton across the country and around the world by recruiting future students through the University of Dayton Alumni and Parent Recruiting Network.
  • Handshake
Sign up as an employer through Handshake and post and recruit for job openings in your company or organization.
  • Local Communities
Help at the local level with one of our 35 Alumni Communities across the country. Volunteers help to build engagement through a variety of opportunities, including planning and hosting service, career development or social events.
  • Nominate a Fellow Flyer
We rely on you and your connections to share the accomplishments of your classmates. Nominate someone you know for one of UD's alumni awards or recognize a young alum.
