Reunion 21 is going digital!

Since the spring of 2020, COVID-19 has impacted many milestone celebrations. While we are hopeful about vaccinations, there is still too much uncertainty about the future. The health and safety of our Flyer family are most important, so we’ve made the decision that Reunion ’21 will be a fully digital event. For more information on how the University of Dayton is committed to protecting the health and safety of the community, please visit

This decision was made in concert with the latest guidance from the University and local and state public health officials. As we approach Reunion, more people have received vaccinations, but there is still plenty of uncertainty about the virus and public health protocols. For the safety of our entire UD family, a decision was made to cancel in-person gatherings for Reunion 2021.

  • Our alumni travel from across the country for Reunion, and there is a heightened risk of COVID-19 transmission associated with travel and gatherings.
  • We want to still be able to celebrate the incredible milestones of our alumni, and we feel digital opportunities are the safest option.

While there is hope for the vaccine, many are still waiting their turn and the health and safety of our UD community is most important. We made this decision now so we can work with your classmates to digitally bring a small piece of UD to you.

The University’s visitor and guest guidelines limit access to visitors directly engaged in fulfilling or sustaining UD's education and research activities.

Our hope is we can invite all alumni back to campus as soon as possible. We will do so as soon as it's safe. However, it depends on the state of the pandemic and occupancy rates for on-campus facilities set by the University in accordance with public health guidance.
