Student Transitions and Family Programs
Life as a Flyer Begins Here
Starting life at the University of Dayton is exciting and overwhelming, both for incoming students and for their families. That's why we developed a series of programs to help our newest Flyers make the most of their college experience and facilitate a successful transition into the academic, social, and spiritual life of the UD community.

Move-In Day
We are excited to welcome you to campus! Here's how we move our newest Flyers into their residence halls.
Welcome Weekend
This weekend is a complement to the orientation program first-year students attended over the summer months. Students take a deeper dive into campus resources and academic preparation, while beginning to meet fellow classmates.
Weeks of Welcome (WoW)
WoW identifies various programs throughout the first weeks of the semester that may support students in their transition to life at UD and extends the introduction to UD past the first day of classes.
Camp Blue
Camp Blue follows the University of Dayton's philosophy of, "Learn Lead, Serve" and provides an opportunity for you to gain hands-on leadership skills, find connections to last your entire college experience and engage in service in the local Dayton community.
Family Weekend
Family Weekend is a great time for parents and families to reconnect with their students, experience the campus, and participate in Flyer traditions and events. We look forward to welcoming our Flyer Families to campus.
Up the Orgs
Up the Orgs is a signature UD event that allows the campus to come together and kick off the year! Find out more information on all the organizations available and find the perfect fit for you!
