Student Transitions and Family Programs
Life as a Flyer Begins Here
Starting college life is exciting and can be overwhelming. That's why we developed programs to help our newest Flyers make the most of their college experience and have a successful transition into the academic, social, and spiritual life of the UD community.

Orientation
As you begin your journey at UD, your orientation will introduce you to the campus and help answer questions you might have. During orientation, you'll learn about campus resources, Marianist traditions, and tips to help you be successful.
Camp Blue
Camp Blue follows the University of Dayton's philosophy of "Learn, Lead, Serve" and provides an opportunity for incoming students to gain hands-on leadership skills, find connections to last their entire college experience, and engage in service in the local Dayton community.
Welcome Weekend
This weekend is a complement to the orientation program first-year students attend over the summer months. Students take a deeper dive into campus resources and academic preparation while beginning to meet fellow classmates.
Family Weekend
Family Weekend is a great time for parents and families to reconnect with their students, experience the campus, and participate in Flyer traditions and events. We look forward to welcoming our Flyer Families to campus.
