Student Transitions and Family Programs
2022 Welcome Weekend
Dates: August 19-21, 2022
All incoming first-year students are expected to attend Welcome Weekend programming, which includes the following:
- New Student Convocation
- Small group meetings led by a Welcome Team Leader (upper-division student)
- Meeting the Academic Deans
- Table Topics, a series of scenarios that highlight the student experience
- Resource Fair
- Late night programming (live music, activities, etc.)

Transfer students are invited to attend Welcome Weekend programming, with specific events highlighted(**) in the schedule below. If transfer students would like to be in a team with first-years, please reach out to stfp@udayton.edu to be assigned to a team.

Move-In will take place throughout a majority of the day, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.

- 7:30 p.m. - Address from the Dean of Students and Public Safety, ending with a meet and greet from campus leadership (RecPlex, Main Gym)

- 7:30 p.m. - Residential Floor Meeting (Residence Halls)
- 7:30 p.m. - Commuter Meeting (Kennedy Union)
- 9 p.m. - Affinity group meet-ups and social programming from the Residential Housing Association
- 9 p.m. - Affinity Group: Students of Faith (Kennedy Union, Torch Lounge)
- 9:15 p.m. - Affinity Group: Multi-Ethnic Students (Alumni Hall, Room 104)
- 9:30 p.m. - Affinity Group: LGBTQ+ Students (Kennedy Union, 222)
- 9:45 p.m. - Affinity Group: First Generation (Kennedy Union, Torch Lounge)

Buses will leave transport students from campus to the Arena beginning at 8:15 a.m. The last bus will leave at 9:30 a.m.
