Fostering successful transitions for all students and families honoring the Marianist Tradition.

Mission Statement

As a team of dedicated orientation, transition, and retention professionals, Student Transitions and Family Programs (STFP) supports the transition of all students and families during their journeys to, through, and out of the Catholic Marianist University experience. Through the creation of opportunities for discovery, engagement, discussion and reflection, STFP fosters developmental growth and confidence by reinforcing the importance of student responsibility, ownership of learning, and investment in one’s own success while building connections with and promoting community among both students and families.

Core Values

In order to support the successful transition of students and families, STFP values and is dedicated to:

  • Facilitating introductions to university values, guiding principles, and resources
  • Creating and developing efficient and fiscally responsible programs and services
  • Collaborating with campus partners and community constituents
  • Providing a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages community building and sense of belonging for all
  • Organizing, storing, and timely highlighting of pertinent resources; preserving ongoing access to information
  • Recruiting a diverse group of students in order to train and develop a competent, knowledgeable, and inclusive team of student leaders
