Center for Alcohol and Other Drugs Resources and Education
Empowering Students to Make Healthy Decisions
Substance misuse can impact your health and wellbeing. As a Flyer, you will have access to services, resources and educational programs to help you make well-informed and responsible decisions about alcohol and other drugs.
Whether you are in recovery, want to abstain from substance use, or need information for a friend or organization, our licensed staff members can work with you to develop an action plan to reduce the potential harm from high-risk behaviors and activities.

The Center offers consultations to faculty, staff, students, and parents. Students at the University of Dayton are eligible to utilize all prevention and intervention services offered.
University of Dayton faculty and staff members are encouraged to contact Human Resources at 937-229-2541 for information or services offered related to substance use, such as the Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
The Center does not provide treatment services for students. Students who require a higher level of care than our staff is able to provide will be referred to an off-campus provider. We are happy to meet with students to provide consultations and help refer to treatment providers.
- Local treatment providers and self-help, peer support, and mutual aid groups can be found by downloading the Local Help Now app.
- Additional treatment providers can be found by visiting Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
The Center is committed to empowering students to make well-informed, healthy, and responsible decisions. CADRE promotes personal responsibility and legal accountability in choices related to alcohol and other drug use.
Our services include prevention education, intervention services, and providing support to those who do not use alcohol or other drugs.
