Alcohol Skills Training Program

The Alcohol Skills Training Program (ASTP) assists students who choose to drink in making informed decisions about alcohol use by providing risk reduction strategies in a group setting. 

Presentations
  • Students who are interested in attending presentations that are PATH eligible, should visit the 1850 app
  • Students or staff can request a presentation for student organizations, athletic teams, or fraternity or sorority meetings. 
  • Faculty can request a presentation for their class by contacting CADRE's Prevention Educators at cadre@udayton.edu.
  • Employees can request a presentation for Staff or Faculty Meeting to learn more about the programs and services offered by the Center for Alcohol and Other Drugs Resources and Education. 

Presentations typically last one-hour and require audio visual equipment. If you have a specific topic or content in mind, please let us know - we are happy to customize content to meet the needs of any group.

Events

Throughout the year, awareness campaigns and events are held to encourage the campus community to remain updated on topics related to substance use and increase awareness on resources available. Some of our events include:

  • September - National Recovery Month
  • October - National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week
  • October - Drug Take Back Day
  • November - Great American Smokeout
  • March - Take Down Tobacco Day of Action
  • April - Drug Take Back Day
Get Involved
Are you interested in getting involved with alcohol and other drug prevention education?

The Center for Alcohol and Other Drugs Resources and Educations has opportunities for students to get involved in prevention education. Students who are interested in an internship or becoming a Certified Peer Educator should contact the Coordinator of Alcohol and Other Drug Prevention Education.
