Recovery is Spoken Here
The Center for Alcohol and Other Drugs Resources and Education (CADRE) staff and the Recovery Advisory Council Members are excited to offer Recovery is Spoken Here - Recovery Ally Training. CADRE is seeking to foster an environment where students in or seeking recovery from alcohol and other drugs feel accepted and affirmed in their journey to wellness, are encouraged to share about their recovery, feel comfortable asking for help, and are celebrated by the University of Dayton community.
Once training is complete, participants will receive a Recovery Ally t-shirt and an Recovery Is Spoken Here sticker to show support of individuals in recovery.
Individuals who complete Recovery is Spoken Here - Recovery Ally Training will:
- Understand the impact of society’s stigma of substance use disorders (SUD)
- Learn about inclusive language and the most up-to-date definitions/descriptions of SUD
- Learn how to serve as an ally for those impacted by substance use
Pre-registration is required to participate in Recovery is Spoken Here - Recovery Ally Training.
Employees can earn points towards their Health Activity Tracker. Students can earn PATH credit for participating in this training
