Next Steps for Spring Admitted Students

Congratulations on Your Admission to UD

Get ready for takeoff! We're excited to welcome you to the Flyer family. Below, you'll find everything you need to know to help you prepare for spring semester. The first day of classes is January 13, 2025, but there are a lot of steps that need to happen in advance to ensure you're ready to begin life as a Flyer.

First, be sure to confirm your enrollment in your Admission Account — many steps below can't begin until you confirm enrollment and pay your deposit (if applicable).

File the FAFSA

Don't leave any financial aid opportunities on the table. If you haven't already, file the 2024-25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible.

After You Confirm Enrollment

In November, students who have confirmed enrollment will have access to Porches, the digital home for your personalized next steps and opportunities. Please watch for an email inviting you to activate your account. We encourage you to activate your account as soon as possible so you can begin completing the items below.

Explore Residential Facilities

To protect the health of the campus community, all incoming students must complete the Health Requirements Form. The deadline is January 3, 2025.

Review your financial aid offer and accept or decline student loans on Porches. The deadline is Dec. 10, 2024; if you confirm after this date, please complete this task within one week of confirming enrollment.

Christmas Break

Please note, the University of Dayton will be closed from Dec. 24 - Jan. 1 so our staff can celebrate the holidays with their loved ones. Any questions received during this time will be answered as soon as possible once we're back in the office on Jan. 2, 2025.
