Get Started on Your Path to Success
Congratulations on being admitted to the UD Sinclair Academy!
To ensure a successful start in the Academy, all admitted students should complete the following steps at each institution:
- Apply to Sinclair College if you have not done so.
Current Sinclair students and Sinclair College Credit Plus students will not need to reapply to Sinclair. - Call the Sinclair Welcome Center (937-512-3000) to discuss your next steps, which include scheduling an academic advising appointment to create a MAP (My Academic Plan), and discussing questions about financial aid or registration.

File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), if you haven't already, to be considered for grants, student loans and work study opportunities. We encourage all students to file the FAFSA, even if you think you won't qualify for federal aid, because many UD awards require a FAFSA for eligibility. Be sure to send your FAFSA to both Sinclair and UD using the following codes:
- Sinclair: 003119
- UD: 003127

Watch for your merit scholarship letter in the mail — it should arrive 1-2 weeks after your acceptance letter. This letter will include all scholarships awarded to help support your UD journey.
In early spring, we'll begin sending financial aid offers to admitted students. Your financial aid offer will include a four year overview of your costs at Sinclair and UD, so you can understand your educational investment and plan for success.
Confirm enrollment in your UD Admission Account by accepting the program Terms and Agreement and paying the non-refundable $50 deposit.
Students who are selected for the Kessler Scholars Program must confirm enrollment by April 1.
After confirming enrollment in your Admission Account, you receive access to Porches, your UD online account with your personalized next steps and opportunities. Watch for an email beginning in February with a link to activate your UD account and instructions to log in to Porches.
Log in to your Porches account to complete all requirements listed on your Porches To-do List including:
- Submitting the Health Requirement Form.
(Failure to submit this form will result in a hold being placed on your account. Students will be unable to register for any courses until this form is submitted.) - Uploading your FlyerCard photo.
- Registering for UD Sinclair Academy orientation.
Refer to the UD Sinclair Academy Flight Plan (provided at orientation) to support your journey.
Save the date for April 26, 2025! Students admitted for the fall 2025 semester are invited to join us for an admitted student day where you'll connect with other UD Sinclair Academy students and learn more about life in the Academy. Registration will open in early spring in your Admission Account.
