The Marian Library is recognized both nationally and internationally as a center for scholarship on the Blessed Virgin Mary. It serves the research needs of faculty and students of the International Marian Research Institute, the broader University of Dayton community and visitors worldwide. It also documents the diverse expressions of popular devotion to Mary.
Thanks to gifts received during the 2020 day of giving, research and conservation has begun on a fragile statue of the Madonna and Child slated for display and instruction.

International Marian Research Institute
Emerging from summer institutes hosted by the Marian Library, the global, scholarly and pastoral mission of the International Marian Research Institute is to make the Virgin Mary, Mother of Jesus Christ better known, loved and served.
VisitUniversity Libraries Special Collections
The Marian Library is part of University of Dayton Libraries and is housed in the Roesch Library building. University Archives and Special Collections, the U.S. Catholic Special Collection, and the Marian Library are three branches of the University Libraries special collections.
