Experience Mary through Exhibits

Visitors to the Marian Library are invited to take self-guided tours of our exhibit spaces. Displays and exhibits are curated to highlight aspects of our collections and immerse visitors in the past, present and future of Marian art, artifacts and realia.

Marian Library exhibits are intended not only to display items, but to use those items to inform and inspire. The majority of our exhibits are packaged with programming for UD students — across disciplines — such as class visits, special projects or open house-style events. Exhibits in the Marian Library are free to the campus community and to the public.

Two Exhibit Spaces

This gallery space features rotating exhibits which focus on Marian art, books, archival and devotional material from the Marian Library's holdings. The Marian Library Gallery may also host traveling exhibits and visiting artists.

Summaries of Past Exhibits

This space showcases a semi-permanent display of Nativities from the nationally-recognized Marian Library Crèche Collection and serves as the home of the popular "Mirror of Hope" art installation.

Both spaces are located in the Marian Library on the seventh floor of Roesch Library on the University of Dayton campus. See the calendar for open hours and closures.
