THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

Final exam week attendance expectations for students

The final exam period for this semester runs Monday, April 29, through Friday, May 3. Students are expected to remain on campus through the scheduled exam times for their classes, articulated at the start of the term in the University’s spring 2024 final exam schedule.

As outlined in UD’s final exam policy, all courses are expected to have a "culminating learning experience, normally a final examination,” and “no final examination may be scheduled at a time other than the time prescribed by the registrar during final examination week” except where formally approved accommodations require otherwise. Questions about this policy can be directed to the Office of the Provost. We wish you success during final exam week.

Housing and Residence Life corner

All non-graduating residents must move out and complete the checkout process within 24 hours after their last exam. If the last exam is on Friday, the deadline is noon Saturday, May 4. All residential facilities close at noon Saturday, May 4, except for graduating seniors who can stay in housing until noon Monday, May 6.

Move-out reminders:

  • Consider donating items. Gently used clothes, small appliances, unopened food, cleaning supplies and toiletries can find new life through donations to community partners. More than 20 bins are available in residence halls and porches in the student neighborhood for unused items. Let's work together to reduce UD's waste footprint through the move-out collection program.
  • Return keys to the assigned front desk at checkout.

The 2024 summer housing application is open and available on the housing portal.

Baccalaureate Mass

The drop box is available any time Fitz Hall is open. All medications should be removed from their original containers and placed in a zip-close bag so there is no identifying information. Liquid medications must be in the original container. Vape pens and other e-cigarette devices are accepted without batteries. Anyone can visit CADRE in Adele Hall 103 to pick up free Deterra Packs, which help deactivate medications for safe disposal.
