Move-out
Move-out for the Common Good
Large amounts of waste are produced each year at move-out. Over 1/5 of UD's waste footprint is generated during the week of move-out. Together, let's do our part to care for our common home, reduce our waste footprint, and support our community. Questions? Contact Sustainability@udayton.edu.
Have some time? Volunteer to help collect, sort, distribute the items to our community partners. Students, staff, and faculty welcome. Sign up to volunteer.
Avoid the end of the semester rush. Take what you can home at Easter. Let's face it, who enjoys the last minute crunch to squeeze everything into your car? Take it home at Easter, save your energy, and keep those favorite items from going to the dumpster.
In a rush at the end of the semester? Drop off your unneeded items at one of 20 convenient locations across campus. Give life to your gently used clothes, small appliances, and unopened food, cleaning supplies, and toiletry items. All items will be donated to community partners. Together, let's reduce UD's waste footprint.
Be part of the virtuous cycle. Donate your items during finals week. Look for drop-off locations in residence halls, neighborhood porches, and Goodwill trailers in the student neighborhood. All of these items will go to local partners such as Goodwill, St Vincent de Paul and others. Collection sites open May 2 - May 8th, 2023.
