The University of Dayton provides a variety of resources and support for individuals to overcome challenges, build resilience, and thrive at the University and beyond. The elements outlined here build upon each other so individuals can create a foundation for resilience, demonstrate self-awareness, and seek out appropriate resources.
Provided below are the different steps to help guide you to proactive wellness. Each step provides specific links to take you directly to related resources.
- Campus Recreation-Create connections between physical and mental health while creating healthy friendships.
- Student organizations -Get involved in student clubs or start your own.
- Get involved in campus life-In a community of doer's, there's always something to do
- Visit Art Street- Art Street serves as the health and wellbeing hub in the student neighborhood.
- Build connection to Dayton- Join clubs, UD events, build connection to Dayton
- Student care and advocacy- The Office of the Dean of Students provides challenge, support, and encouragement for students
- University of Dayton Events-Attend events with other students
- Campus employment- Create community through employment opportunities
- You@Dayton -Personalize your wellness resources directly for you
- Mental Health- Workshops and presentations offered
- Academic support- The Office of Learning Resources provides everything you need to be academically successful
- Peer mentors-Share concerns with PAVE, Q*mmunity Leaders, or Co-pilots
- Individual or group therapy sessions-drop in session hours provided
- Campus Ministry-Professionals there to listen, to walk with you on your spiritual journey, and to help you grow
- Multi-Ethnic Education and Engagement Center-This center serves as a resource for the entire campus community while providing multicultural students and their families with an additional connection to the University
