A photo of five clay figures with golden halos standing in a row with their eyes closed and mouths open in song or speech. A woman in a turquoise dress, representing the Blessed Virgin Mary, holds an infant in white clothing, representing Jesus, as she sits upon a brown and gray donkey with long, exaggerated ears. A man in white shirt and pants with an orange belt holds a tall, green staff with purple flowers. Three men in robes, each with a rosary hanging from his waist, stand next in line. The man in a burgundy robe with white birds resting on his hands represents St. Francis. Text reads: “The Lord was able to invite others to be attentive to the beauty that there is in the world because he himself was in constant touch with nature, lending to it an attention full of fondness and wonder.” — Pope Francis, Laudato si’ Merry Christmas
