This week we invite you to read about Marian national patronges such as Our Lady of Copacabana. A statue of Mary made of plaster and wood by an Indian fisherman in thanksgiving for her protection, it was originally placed in a chapel near Lake Titicaca in northern Bolivia. Later a large church was built and the statue was crowned in 1925. You can browse the list of 54 nations. Also, learn more about fountains as a symbol of Mary in the middles ages.
