1327: Pope John XXII requested that the evening bell of the three Hail Marys (the Angelus) be rung in Rome.

1891: Consecration of the Church of Our Lady of Victories which would house the miraculous image of Our Lady of the Rosary, Pompei, Italy (image restored in 1875). Shrine established by Bartolo Longo (1841-1926) and his wife. Recitation of the "Supplication to the Queen of Victories" is recited universally on the first Sunday in October.

1982: Pope John Paul II went as a grateful pilgrim to Fatima.
1991: Pope John II goes as a grateful pilgrim to Fatima ten years after his assault.
2000: Beatification of the two visionary children, Jacinta (1910-1920) and Francisco (1908-1919) Marto in Fatima by Pope John Paul II. Announcement of the publication of the so-called secret of Fatima by Cardinal Sodano.
2017: Pope Francis canonized two of the three visionary children, Jacinta (1910-1920) and Francisco (1908-1919) Marto, in Fatima.

Pope John Paul II raised the liturgical commemoration of the Immaculate Heart of Mary from an optional to an obligatory memorial in the General Roman Calendar. The celebration falls on the day (always a Saturday) after the feast of the Sacred Heart, which is the Friday after Corpus Christi. The placement of the commemoration indicates the connection with the mystery of divine Heart of Jesus.
