Boll Theatre

Boll Theatre

Boll Theatre is recognized as an important performance and event venue for the creative life of the University and the Dayton community. It seats 371 people. Boll Theatre is the only fully technically equipped proscenium theatre at the University of Dayton. The theatre was built in the 1960s, has been renovated several times, and includes a mix of state-of-the-art and traditional equipment.

Boll Theater was named in recognition of Brother Lawrence A. Boll, who has always been first, a religious of the Society of Mary, a gentleman, a scholar, and an inspiration for many younger members of his religious family as well as his students. The theatre was dedicated on April 11th, 1967.

Flexible Programming

As a University asset, the Boll Theatre is used by academic programs, University groups and affiliates and community organizations.

As a performance space, it provides an opportunity for students to actively engage in and experience the transformative power of the performing arts.

Additionally, it provides a space for the University and Dayton communities to enjoy and grow in appreciation of the performing arts.
