Birthday of the Blessed Virgin

By Ann Zlotnik

The Blessed Virgin Mary has a birthday on Sept. 8 — nine months after her Immaculate Conception, naturally — and like everyone else’s, it calls for celebration. We love to share items from our Marian Library collections, so we have selected some holy cards and art depicting Mary as an infant.
