Nativity Loan Recap
By Michele Devitt, Curatorial Assistant and Volunteer Coordinator
The Marian Library lent out over 640 Nativity sets this past Christmas season!
Once the business has ended and the Nativity sets have been returned to their home in Fitz Hall, we can take some time to reflect on the people we have met and on the gift we have shared. This year, we received a note tucked in a box of returned Nativities that was especially heartwarming. The note read:
"Hello and Thank You! The Nativity scenes were a tremendous inspiration to hundreds of people. One story: This Nativity gave hope to a woman whose brother lost his faith. She has been praying for his 'reversion' and the Nativity reminded her that Jesus is everywhere, including Thailand where he lives, so she should persevere in her prayer. God bless you all, Linda."
It is this type of response that reminds us how important our work is.
