Saturdays at the Marian Library
The Marian Library on the 7th floor of Roesch Library has special hours of noon to 4 p.m. on June 11, 18, 25, and July 2, 9, 16, and 23, 2016, for the students taking summer classes at the International Marian Research Institute! These expanded hours also allow the public to see the temporary art exhibit, "The Life of Mary in Image and Word", that will be up until July 23. Why not beat the rush by enjoying "Christmas in July" with a leisurely look at the Nativities on year-round display in the Museum Room, including the special miniature railroad with a narrated, 11-minute journey through the Nativity story?
This wonderful opportunity was prompted at the request of graduate students who are busy with classes during the week, and other responsibilities throughout the year. Teachers, clergy, working people, and the retired like the condensed format of one-week or two-week courses. Some students flew in from Australia, Trinidad, Canada, Florida, and California, while others drove from New York, Indiana, and Wisconsin. All appreciate the books, videos, artwork, and research collections that constitute a treasure-house of resources available in the Marian Library.
