Graduate Non-Degree Program

Want to explore your options before committing to a graduate program? You may take up to six graduate credit hours as a non-degree-seeking student. To take more than six graduate credit hours, you must seek admission to the graduate school.

The University of Dayton is committed to providing adults in the community a high-quality education at an affordable rate.

Apply and Register

If this is your first time registering for graduate classes at the University of Dayton and you have not been admitted to an academic program, follow the steps below. Please note that in order to participate in the Graduate Non-Degree Program, you must have a U.S. bachelor's degree or the equivalent prior to beginning classes.

Step 1: Check the Catalog for classes of interest. Remember the code and title of any classes in which you would like to enroll.

Step 2: Visit the dynamic schedule and enter your class(es) of interest to verify they are available for the upcoming term. Note which section of the class you wish to take.

Step 3: Register for your desired class(es) by submitting the online registration form. You will need the course code, section number and title (which are found in step 2) to complete the form. It may be helpful to have the dynamic schedule available while completing the registration form.

For registration deadlines for each term, contact the registration office at 937-229-4131.

To take more than six graduate credit hours, you must apply to the graduate school.
