The Most Reverend Joseph Binzer, bishop in the diocese of Cincinnati, will be celebrating the Holy Mass beginning at 7:30 p.m. After dark, a candlelight Rosary will take form on the grounds as each prayer is recited. The program will conclude with a candlelight procession around the grounds. Candles and holders will be available. The Centennial Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of Fatima, blessed by Pope Francis, will be present for this year's event. All priests are invited to concelebrate at the Mass. Brazil: Mary Is a Sign of Hope for Young People (Zenit website) August 1, 2017
Pope Francis encouraged young people to look to Mary as a model, but also to take action in their communities. They must not be afraid to take risks and to commit to the building of a new society, bringing the Gospel to the social, political, economic, and university realms.
The Holy Father's comments came in early July in a letter--released August 1, 2017, in Portuguese--to young people of Brazil, gathered in Aparecida for the closing of the "Rota 300" Project, in the Marian Year that commemorates the three-hundred years of the finding of Our Lady's image in the waters of Rio Paraiba do Sul.
"The Virgin Mary is a beautiful example for youth and a help in the walk on the way of life. Great reflections are not necessary for you to perceive this truth," Pope Francis said, recalling his past visits to Aparecida. "I was able to discover there the tender and maternal look of the dark Virgin and in the eyes of the simple people that contemplated her, the secret of hope that moves the Brazilian people, to face with faith and courage the challenges of each day...."

Our Lady of Fatima pilgrim statue in archdiocese (The Catholic Telegraph) August 2, 2017
The National Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima is coming to the Archdiocese of Cincinnati as part of a journey across the United States under the sponsorship of the World Apostolate of Fatima USA. The statue will begin at Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center in Norwood, Ohio from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on September 8, 2017, the feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It will stop at a number of locations in the Archdiocese until September 28, 2017. The National Pilgrim Virgin Statue is a beautiful hand-carved image of Our Lady of Fatima. given to the United States by the bishop of Fatima after being blessed by Pope Paul VI in 1967.
