Neighborhood Composting
The composting initiatives on campus are a collaborative effort with facilities management and the Hanley Sustainability Institute. The student neighborhood composting program supports the south student neighborhood. The program has expanded since its inception in 2017 with 20 houses to nearly 100 houses. Initially, started as a bucket-swap method, the zero waste leaders continue to find ways to expand the established composting program.
Ways to engage
Signups for the program are released in September for the fall semester and the end of February to early March for the spring semester by Housing and Residence Life. Students can also sign up online.
