Hanley Sustainability Institute


In addition to offering undergraduate and graduate programs in sustainability, the University of Dayton turns to its Marianist tradition and Habits of Inquiry and Reflection and offers courses across the curriculum and schools in the interdisciplinary study of sustainability.

This interdisciplinary program in the College of Arts and Sciences and part of the Hanley Sustainability Institute offers bachelor of arts and bachelor of science degrees in sustainability. The tracks in the BA include food systems and urban sustainability while the BS tracks are energy and sustainable watersheds. Sustainability Program website >>

The program also offers a Sustainability, Energy and the Environment (SEE) minor and a graduate certificate in Sustainability. This program provides students with a deep appreciation of the complexity of sustainability, energy and the environment. We actively engage with the City of Dayton and the Miami Valley region and strive to increase awareness as a part of the community. Learn more >
