Food Recovery Network
Starting in November 2022, the Hanley Sustainability Institute Food and Growing Team reinstated the University of Dayton's chapter of the Food Recovery Network (FRN). FRN collects excess food from UD catering services and donates to St. Vincent de Paul, a local food bank. Since its reinstatement, the FRN has recovered hundreds of pounds of food. on a weekly basis, a group of students drives to collect the food to donate. if you're interested in getting involved, reach out or sign up for recovery events.
