The Write Place offers support on any writing assignment and at any stage of the writing process. Consultants can help with:

• Brainstorming as soon as a student receives their assignment.
• Identifying and narrowing a topic.
• Developing a thesis.
• Generating and organizing ideas.
• Reviewing drafts.
• Assisting with revisions.
• Offering proofreading strategies.

Use the Write Place as often as you like!

• Most sessions last approximately 30 minutes.
• Consultants will read papers aloud, pausing periodically to discuss strengths and weaknesses in the writing.
• Since this is a consultation, students should be ready to share ideas and work collaboratively to ensure the best possible paper.
• At the end of the session, the consultant will review the main actions that students can take to further improve their paper; a small summary email will be sent at the end of each session.
