FIRST Program Kickoff

RSVP TODAY FOR THE FALL 2024 FIRST KICKOFF!

Welcome FIRST Students!

The FIRST Program is all about helping students transition to UD. All FIRST students are required to attend the FIRST Kickoff weekend, and their parents are highly encouraged to attend, the Friday before Welcome Weekend.

At Kickoff, students and parents will get an overview of the program, a chance to have questions answered, and many opportunities to get to know each other. You'll also get a head-start on learning about campus resources and getting ready for your first week of classes.

FIRST Kickoff FAQs

FIRST Kickoff is Friday, August 16. Students participating in FIRST Orientation move in early on the morning of August 18. Welcome Weekend begins in the afternoon.

Students admitted into the FIRST Program are expected to attend Kickoff. Missing out on Kickoff means missing out on a chance to get on-campus early, to get to know your fellow FIRST students, and to get a jump start on the semester.

If you are unable to attend, please contact the Office of Learning Resources at olr@udayton.edu.

Yes! We not only recommend, but strongly encourage parents to join their student for move-in and FIRST Orientation. There will be a special orientation session for parents on Friday, August 16.

No. There is no fee for FIRST Kickoff. Dining halls will be open and students can use their meal plans for lunch on Friday and for breakfast on Saturday.

We're so happy that you're already getting connected with other groups on campus. If you are participating in another early arrival experience like MEC Pro or Camp Blue, let us know on when you complete the FIRST Kickoff Registration Form and we'll make arrangements so you don't miss out entirely on either experience.
