LTC Reflections: Why We Give to UD
Here are the thoughts of several LTC staff members on why they choose to give to UD:
I give to UD because I have seen the good that UD does for its students, staff, faculty, and our community, and this is the kind of important work that reflects my values.
I give to UD because I had an amazing educational experience from UD myself. UD is a very supportive community and strives for change on both a local and global scale.
Giving to an office across campus that I don’t work with regularly is a small way I can express my recognition and appreciation of their hard work and critical contributions to students’ lives.
I give to UD because it’s such a special place. Talented faculty and staff work together toward achieving common goals. Students are presented with opportunities to explore vocation, learn from others from diverse cultures and backgrounds, and improve the world around them.
I give to the OLR to help enrich programs designed to make students critical and independent learners.
I give to UD so students of all financial backgrounds can benefit from all that UD has to offer.
I give to UD because it feels good to contribute to educating the future generation of leaders who will make a positive impact on the world.
I give to UD because there is so much good work taking place across campus -- I want to contribute beyond what my own hands can do, by acknowledging and supporting others’ work and encouraging them to continue.
I give to UD because I want prospective students, faculty, staff, and alumni to know of the continued commitment to our shared values and purpose.
Making a difference means investing time or resources - so whether I’ts teaching in the classroom or contributing a financial donation, I know this makes a difference.
