Bridging Gaps: A Dive into Creating Inclusive Employment for Neurodivergent STEM Students
John Szabo

In an era where diversity and inclusion are more than just buzzwords, the need for tangible, impactful change in the employment landscape for neurodivergent individuals is undeniable. As John Szabo prepares to present his action research project at the Action Research Networks of America (ARNA) 2024 conference, themed "PAR in Community: Transformative Possibilities," the alignment of his work with this theme is both exciting and affirming. John’s project focuses on creating inclusive employment opportunities for STEM students who are neurodivergent, specifically those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), by integrating them into internships and enhancing awareness of neurodiversity beyond his research organization. This endeavor is not just a professional milestone for John but a personal journey into uncharted territories of advocacy and change-making. We are proud to have John representing the Ed.D. program with this important action research at ARNA.
